VoIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol and it’s a relatively new way of having a phone.
So instead of using a land line or a cell phone you can have a phone device that uses the Internet to transmit your call. This allows for savings in toll calls and line rental, plus other services – including voice mail, caller id, last calling number, call redirection and others that are usually charged for by landline providers.
A nice feature of VoIP is the ’number portability’ which allows you to move your phone devices or PBX to another address (within the same local calling area) and still keep your existing phone numbers.
You will find that costs are lower than landline costs, and the line quality is generally reliable and high quality.
If you are interested in knowing more about VoIP, we would love to talk to you about it. We have been using a VoIP phone at home as well as in our office for a couple of years; we have moved several clients onto VoIP and we like the technology.

“I recently investigated a VoIP telephone. Only knowing a little about them Philip from Softpro provided me with pre-printed material I could read to fully understand them and make an informed buying decision. I now have a VoIP phone and it’s great. … I know I will be using Softpro again soon.”
